Ugh.. I Just Spent A week at The hospital I had another infection. This time it was in my stomach (where i have chyle fluid).
It was my first time just having it in stomache area. On Friday the 23rd i woke up with fine, I ate Breakfast then around 11am but then i started getting a sharp pain in my lower right side of my stomach. At first i got worried but then i thought maybe it was just from the sausage i had ate. So I just continued with my day and Babysat my brother. Things were okay but i still had that sharp pain around 5pm. I really started getting worried, so i took a morphine so the pain would at least die down, but it was no help. around 8 i started freaking out i thought it might be my appendix. I wanted to goto hospital but my mom had just left for her night shift. So i just relaxed and i tried to get up but the pain was Horrible i could barely walk. my grandfather had to help me. I wanted to wait until morning cause mom was at work and could'nt come home and i didnt wanna go threw ambulance cause they wouldn't take me to my hospital, they could only take me to th local crappy hospital. so i just went to sleep and i slept fine until 2pm but i woke with horrible pain threw out my body and i had that nasty infection feeling we get. i was very weak and i felt nauseated. I finally knew what that pain was from i had an infection. so i called mom and told her we needed to goto hospital now. so she took me and i was treated for the infection and the pain with IV Morphine And Vancomycin (for infections). Since i was a regular there they new what to do. I spent my 18th birthday & halloween there during the 8 days i was there....Sounds horrible but it wasnt all to bad. The First 3 days were painful and i had to have 4 differnt Iv's (i have bad vains), But I was happy i was at my hospital i had nice nurses, Everyone knows me And The Best part was I had Some very Pretty Nurses.

Hey Carlos
Glad to hear you're better now. But, please

next time you have any kind of pain like that don't dismiss it. These infectons can present in a number of different ways.
I've never had to deal with it in the abdomen, and hope I don't - sounds terrible.
LOL...I understand about the nurses. When I was in high school, I spent so many months in this university hospital, which of course had a nursing school. As a teen, I had great fun. One roomate (a medical student) had his mom bring up stuff every Friday night and we all had a little party every week....ahh....to be young again
If these infections continue, talk to your doctor about putting you on a preventative maintenance course of daily antibiotics.
That has really helped me avoid the worse of the infections.
Take care and be well

You just described a problem that I've been having every 10 days or so since August to a Tee. I've had two surgeries and skads of tests trying to find out what was wrong. My regular doctors had no clue what was happening to me. Just yesterday morning I saw a LE specialist though and she recognized my symptoms. I started crying when she had an answer for me. Then later I read your post and was completely relieved to find that I'm not the only one. I'm so glad you're okay now--it gives me hope while I'm currently about to start medication for it
